Our Newschannel 6 crew was at a grass fire along highway 79, about 8 miles north of Archer City.
Sheriff Beesinger said multiple departments fought the blaze just south of Coleman Rd. Departments included Archer, Holliday, Kickapoo, Lakeside City, Windthorst and Bowman. Ambulances were also at the scene in case of heat-related injuries.
About 400 acres were burned far. No houses were near the fire.
