W.F. Offers Hunting Leases for Sealed Bid

WICHITA FALLS - The City of Wichita Falls, Texas is offering five hunting leases for sealed bid: three 5-year leases in Clay County near Lake Arrowhead and two 1-year and nine months leases in Archer County near Lake Kickapoo.

These leases fall under general State of Texas hunting laws and requirements.

Available for hunting are:

  • deer
  • dove
  • hog
  • quail
  • and turkey

No water fowl hunting is allowed.

Bid packages are available for pick up at the office of Property Administration, Room 107, 1300 7th Street, Wichita Falls, TX  76301, or the city website. Sealed bids are due August 20th at 3 p.m. with bid opening at 3:15 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.  

The successful bidder will be able to enter into a lease with the City upon approval of the City Council on September 4, 2012. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to accept that offer considered most advantageous to the city.
