Northbound Lanes on U.S. 287 in Wichita Falls are being closed over the next two weeks for repair work near Hammon Road. The closures will take place only at night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
A contractor for TxDOT is making bridge repairs to the Hammon Rd overpass of US 287 South of the city. A large truck carrying equipment hit and damaged the bridge in June. The overpass has been closed ever since.
Work started Tuesday night. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the month and opened back up to traffic. This job is dependent on good weather.
