Manhunt Near Lake Wichita

Wichita Falls Police and Wichita County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for two men involved in a high speed car chase.

Sergeant Danny Wiggins tells our crew at the scene just before 4:00 Wednesday morning a lieutenant recognized a stolen white car on Southwest Parkway and Barnett.

When he tried to stop the car the driver drove off leading police on a high speed chase.
The driver crashed the car in the 5200 block of Lake Shore Drive where he and his passenger got out and ran, leaving a handgun in the car.

Law enforcement are searching for the two men.
A tow truck removed the car they were in from the scene of the crash.

We'll keep you updated as we get new details on the search.
