Wichita County Tax Rate Drop

Wichita County's tax rate is dropping.

Wichita County Commissioners met Monday morning and decided to reduced the county tax rate by 2.76%.

Wichita County Judge Woody Gossom said new property taxes will actually increase tax revenue even with the rate reduction.

New property taxes are expected to bring in an additional $233,000. That's nearly a three quarters of a percent increase.
