United Way Chili Cook-Off To Feature Live Band

The North Texas Area United Way Chili Cook-Off will be held at the MPEC on August 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A benefit concert featuring the Jay Hollis Band will begin at 6:30 p.m.

All funds raised will go to fund United Way's work in the areas of education, income and health.

Bragging rights and trophies will be awarded for the best chili, cornbread and cobbler, along with best showmanship and the "Texas Heat" award. Public voting will help their favorites win the coveted "People's Choice" award.
