WICHITA FALLS - Wichita Falls Police have arrested the driver that left the scene of Monday's hit and run accident that seriously injured a motorcycle rider.
Sgt. Joe Snyder said Connard Lee Riddles III, 26, was driving northbound in a Ford Taurus along side a Silver Suzuki motorcycle around 3 p.m. when the vehicles collided. The man on the motorcycle was thrown off his bike on the 4600 block of Fairway Blvd and Sherry St. Witnesses said Riddles drove off before police arrived.
The driver of the bike was sent to United Regional with a potentially life-threatening head injury. He is undergoing treatment.
Police found the suspect car and it's driver later that afternoon. Riddles is charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid, a third degree felony.
During the investigation, investigators learned the motorcycle had been reported stolen. The case remains under investigation. The name of the motorcycle rider has not been released.
