A 23-year-old man crashed Monday night when Wichita Falls Police said he lost control of his motorcycle. The accident happened just before 11 p.m. on the 5300 block of I-44, south of Missile Road.
Sergeant Joe Snyder said it looked like Rick Venegas, 23, lost control of his motorcycle as he was heading south. Venegas was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
He was taken to United Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 1 a.m. Tuesday. He did have immediate family at the hospital at that time.
Justice of the Peace Mike Little arrived at the hospital and ordered an autopsy. Venegas' body has been taken to Tarrant County Coroner's Office.
We will provide any updates as they become available.
