A Wichita Falls man is accused of lying to police about a man on a roof with a gun.
Wichita Falls Police responded to a call just after 11:00 Wednesday night, of a man on a roof in the 1500 block of 11th Street with a rifle.
Sergeant Gregory Lillis said when they arrived the only person on the roof was Vernon Dale Batt, the man who made the call.
Officers called for a fire truck with a ladder so they could arrest 34-year-old Batt. He had been up there for about 50 minutes before police got the him off the roof.
