Donations Needed For Family Who Lost House/Truck In Fire

An account has been opened for donations to the family who lost their house and truck to a fire off Hwy 79.
Our Newschannel 6 crew was on the scene Tuesday morning of a house fire. Wichita East VFD Chief Hayden Hansen said it started about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday when a Chevy pickup caught fire underneath a car port. That fire spread to the house.
The owners were asleep in the house at the time but the truck alarm woke them up. No one was injured.
A number of first responders were called to the scene including Wichita East, Jolly, Dean and Cameron Gardens. The Red cross was also called in to help.
Wichita County Sheriff's deputies directed traffic that, at one point, was completely blocked off. It took about 5 hours to put both fires out between Hwy. 287 and Dean.
