GOTW: Throckmorton at Windthorst

We'll be part of history Friday night during our Dr Pepper Game of the Week for Week 5.

Throckmorton will travel to Windthorst for a special exhibition. The first half will be played under 11-man rules, while the second half will shift over to 6-man.

Since switching over to 6-man in 2004, the Greyhounds have become a perennial power in the state, compiling a 96-13 overall record, with state championships in 2005 and 2011.

Throckmorton's players and coaches don't fully know what to expect Friday. They'll face size and depth issues during the first half. But, the Greyhounds want to showcase the beauty and skill required to play the 6-man game.

After a tough start to the season, Windthorst has won three-straight games. The Trojans will be playing 6-man for the first time ever. Players and coaches are excited to try something new. The big guys up front are especially excited to go out for some passes.

Watch our coverage Tuesday and Thursday night at 6 and 10, plus Friday night at 6. Then, watch the highlights first at 10:30 on the Friday Night High School Football Update!
