Shopping Centers Getting Facelifts

A number of shopping plazas in Wichita Falls are under construction, and the work is creating some confusion for customers.

"Of Course, it stands to reason that it's been slow because our signs were all down," said Owner of Great Hair by Marsa Rosie Scholl.

Scholl and other business owners in the shopping center at Midwestern Parkway and Jacksboro Highway say they have fielded many calls from people asking if they are still open during construction.

"The only thing I was able to think of doing was to get one of those flashy "Open" signs and we stuck it up there hoping that, you know, people could still see that," said Scholl.

Although it has been a task making sure customers know they are still open, Scholl said she thinks the project will bring in more business once it is complete.

"It's been exciting because we see something good coming down the road that's going to be good for our business," said Scholl.
