The Electra Tigers are prepping for Homecoming Friday night.
Although they have changed coaches three times in the past three years, players say Homecoming has been a constant through everything.
"It just lets us know that people are behind us no matter what. Doesn't matter who leaves us or who's here, but we just know that our fans are going to come out and support us and we're going to play our heart out," said Junior RJ Melton.
Friends and family are the only ones expected to be cheering in the stands Friday night. Alumni football players, including some from the 1985 State Champion team will be there as well.
"I'm honored to see them. It's kind of like they're an idol, even though they're older now, they're still like an idol in my eyes," said Senior Blaze Lynn. "I look up to them and want to win a state championship just like they did."
The quarterback from the '85 team will even be giving the current Tigers a pep talk before the Homecoming game this year.
