Posted: Updated:

The Wichita Falls Firefighters Association 4th annual "Care Enough to Wear Pink" campaign is underway.

This is a joint operation with the Firefighters Association, Fire Department and City Administration to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer awareness. All profits will go to the Local Susan G. Komen of Wichita Falls.

Firefighters will be selling Pink Shirts for $15 at Fire Stations 1 and 8. There are shirt sizes from adult small up to adult 3XL. Firefighters are also be selling Pink Magnetic ribbons for $5 that people can write a loved one's name on, or words of encouragement. They will then be placed on a Fire truck for the month of October in honor of those battling Breast Cancer or in memory of a loved one.

Firefighters all across the nation will be wearing the Pink Shirts as duty uniforms throughout the month of October to raise awareness about breast cancer and to show our support to all women that have and still are battling this horrible disease. It is our hope that with everyone's help we can bring research closer to a cure and ensure a better future for all women and their families.

Wichita Falls Firefighters will be wearing Pink Shirts as the duty uniform on the following days:

October 1, 2, 3

October 17, 18, 19

October 29, 30, 31

Fire Station #1 located at 1005 Bluff St.
