With flu season around the corner many Texomans lined up to get their flu shot Saturday morning. They arrived at Scotland Park Elementary. Fees ranged from $3.50 to $30 bucks for the shot. We spoke with the Wichita Falls Wichita County Public Health District about the years upcoming flu season.
"How they determine what goes in the flu vaccine is they do surveillance. They determine what strain of the flu will be most prevalent for that year and that's what they try to put in the vaccine," said Teressa Stephenson with the health district.
In addition to the flu shot a Tdap vaccination against whooping cough was available as well as a pneumonia shot. Immunizations are available at the health district during the week.
