A Burkburnett man (previously accused of aggravated assault and robbery) was arrested after a high speed car chase.
Archer Co. Sheriff Beesinger said two officers spotted 22-year-old Shane Lawrence Webb driving 77 in a 60 mph zone Friday on FM 1954. When they tried to pull the car over, it took off into Wichita County. Officers followed Webb onto Windthorst Road, swerving past other vehicles.
Beesinger said the suspect's vehicle lost control and went through a fence. Webb abandoned the vehicle at Sun Valley apartments; officers ran after him on foot.
The chase ended when the suspect tried to scale a 7-foot fence, but was too tired.
Deputies took him into custody and found out he had a parole violation warrant for aggravated robbery out of Wichita County, and an aggravated assault family violence warrant. He was charged with resisting arrest.
Webb is being held on a combined $150,000 bond in Wichita Co. Jail.
