Alvarado Sentenced To 20 Years

The man convicted on charges of tampering with evidence learned his punishment Wednesday morning.

Robert Guerro Alvarado has been sentenced to 20 years in connection to the death of his daughter in-law.

Both sides took about 15 minutes for closing arguments and then Judge Bob Brotherton handed down the punishment.

It was an emotional two days for Daniel Hill Alvarado's family.

Her body was found this past October.  She had been missing since 2010.

Robert claimed his son Jonathan Alvarado stabbed her to death and then buried her body in Burnett Park.  He said Jonathan committed suicide nearly two years ago.

Robert pleaded guilty to charges of tampering with evidence.
