WFPD Makes Drug Arrest During Robbery Investigation

A Wichita Falls house that was targeted in a robbery attempt turned out to be the home multiple marijuana plants.

Officers responded to a call of armed suspects breaking into a house around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday on the 2000 block of Featherston Ave. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had left and Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Section were called to the scene.

During the course of the investigation, officers noticed drug paraphernalia and the scent of marijuana. The Organized Crime Unit obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence. There investigators found nine marijuana plants inside the residence, and two pounds of packaged marijuana.

They arrested Antonio Rojas III, 21 and charged him with possession of marijuana over four ounces and felon in possession of a firearm.

Police are still investigating the home invasion as an aggravated robbery. No suspects have been identified at this time. Detectives state that the victim(s) of the robbery were targeted.
