Wichita Falls Police Department are doubling their patrol having anywhere from 12 to 18 police officers at the game Friday Night.
WFPD is working with the WFISD and their top priority is the safety of the students and the general public. Police and school officials encourage parents to talk to their kids to make sure they don't get involved in any criminal activity.
WFISD Security said by bringing in more security, year after year, they have less problems leading up to the big game.
Bill Horton, Chief of Police, Director of Security at WFISD, said, "We do upgrade the security and we have noticed things have changed." Horton added, "The crime rate has really gone down as far as vandalism at our schools. We hope they come out and enjoy the game and not get involved with any criminal activity."
