Wichita County Celebrates Veterans' Day

Posted: Updated:

Veterans were honored all over Texoma this weekend.

The Wichita County Veterans Services Office started things Sunday morning with a memorial ceremony at the Wichita County Cemetery, to honor the veterans buried there.

A school choir performed the National Anthem followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a guest speaker.

Veterans and family members of veterans also wore old uniforms.

It was a morning of celebration and respect for the countless men and women who have and continue to serve our country.

Although Veterans' Day was on Sunday this year, the holiday is being observed tomorrow as a Federal holiday.
