A Texoma woman narrowly escaped a dangerous collision when a train slammed into her car.
Clay Co. Sheriff Kenny Lemons said the Wichita Falls woman was crossing the railroad off S. Hancock Street around 11:30 p.m. when her Nissan Altima got stuck on the high tracks. The 22-year-old managed to get out of the vehicle before the Burlington Northern freight train made impact.
The driver was taken to the hospital where paramedics examined her. She didn't suffer any injuries and later left with her family.
Sheriff Lemons said it was a terrible accident and he's glad the woman wasn't hurt.
