Oklahoma highway patrol closed part of I-44 Wednesday morning when a semi pulling a car carrier caught fire.
Six on the scene was at the fire that started just before 7 a.m. on I-44 west in front of Kiowa Casino. An Oklahoma highway patrol trooper told us the fire sparked when a wheel bearing on the trailer came loose.
The back part of the trailer was destroyed along with the cars it was carrying. The driver was not hurt.
One lane on the westbound side was closed to safely put out the blaze and clean up the accident.
