A Wichita County Jury has sentenced 42-year-old Ezekiel Gabriel Wiggins to life in prison after being found guilty of one count of indecency with a child.

The verdict was reached Thursday in the trial of Wiggins accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

He was found guilty of aggravated sexual assault.

The jury was excused for the just after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and will resume sentencing deliberations Friday at 9 a.m.

The jury was seated and the prosecution presented their case at the 89th District Court against Wiggins on Tuesday.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault. Police said a 13-year-old victim told them Wiggins sexually assaulted her in June of 2009.

The victim said that month Wiggins was released from prison and he and the victim's mother were in a relationship. The child indicated that the suspect engaged her sexually against her will twice over the span of 24 hours.

Wiggins was found to be a registered sex offender at the time of the offense. Another victim told police she was also sexually assaulted by Wiggins in November of 2005.

Officials said this assault happened two days before Wiggins was arrested for assaulting her mother that November. The child indicated that she was afraid to tell CPS and police because Wiggins said she would never see her mother again if she told anyone.
