Vernon Water Line Leak: Residents Asked To Conserve Water

Vernon's mayor is asking for residents and businesses to conserve their water as the city works to fix a major water line leak.

Public Works staff discovered the leak Wednesday night in the water lines supplying the city from water fields in the northern part of Wilbarger county.

City staff and contractors are working to repair the leak. In the meantime, residents and businesses are asked to conserve water and curtail water use to forestall more drastic measures.

The public will be notified with a press release and Code Red when the water supply system is restored.
