Burk PD Sgt. Lahoma Vaughn confirmed with us that there was a stabbing Sunday night. They can't release the suspect's name because the suspect is a juvenile.
Officers responded to a call of an assault with a knife a little after 8 p.m. at the 1200 block of Bishop Road in Burkburnett.
The 18-year-old victim was sent to United Regional with a stab wound to his back, a punctured lung and blood in his chest. We're waiting to get an update on the victim's condition.
The juvenile was arrested for aggravated assault with deadly weapon first degree felony. The suspect is at the juvenile detention center.
