Housing For Stray Animals

Wichita County Commissioners appear ready to move forward with a building to house stray animals.

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office would run the facility. Commissioners started looking at the possibility back in early September, and agreed then on budgeting $24,000 a year to run the program.

Monday morning they will discuss and possibly take action on moving forward with that plan.

The meeting starts at 10:00 a.m. at the Wichita County Courthouse at 6th and Travis.
