The overnight snowfall brought slick and icy roads to Monday morning commuters leading to dozens of accidents. One of the worst accidents involved two cars that slid off a highway and into a pond a little before 8:30 a.m.
Newschannel 6 was at the scene of the two submerged cars.
In unrelated incidents, the vehicles headed toward Wichita Falls and slid off Hwy 287 at the Wilson Overpass into a pond below.
Officials at the scene said no one was injured. Road crews worked to pull the cars out of the water.
The Wichita Falls Police Department has estimated more than 50 accidents alone on Monday morning.
