Posted: Updated:

The North Texas Area United Way is helping parents have the tools they need to make sure their child is better prepared for school.

"Look! I'm Talking Now! (And it's Not Just Baby Talk Anymore)," is a FREE workshop where parents will develop appropriate language modeling practices to intentionally encourage and expand children's speech, an important milestone to be school ready.

United Way School Readiness team and Kaplan Early Learning will present specialized training to parents of children ages 0-5 on how to best foster early childhood language development for lifelong success.

"Look! I'm Talking Now!" will be held from 5:30-8:00 p.m., Friday, December 1414th at Washington-Jackson Elementary at 1300 Harding Street. Dinner will be served, but registration is required.

Register online at 8956.org or phone United Way at 940-322-8638.
