Deadly House Fire

A house fire claimed a life Saturday morning.

The body was found after a fire at 5:30.

Fire Captain/Investigator Paul Miller said the name of the victim has not been released.

The body was sent away for an autopsy.

The fire took place on the 11000 block of County Road 128W. The home is several miles outside the southwestern Vernon city limits.

Miller said State Fire Marshal's Office and the Wilbarger County Sheriff's Office are assisting in the investigation.

Newschannel 6 will continue to follow the investigation.
