Vernon Man Found Dead; Teen Murder Suspect Arrested

A possible Vernon homicide is under investigation with a teen as the prime murder suspect.
Vernon PD were sent to the 2400 block of Fannin for a disturbance early Wednesday morning just after 12:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found 45-year-old Michael Jerome Ridge's body. Investigators believe the victim died from being struck by a blunt object.
Police later found Ezekiel Bell, 19, at a residence in Vernon a little after 1 a.m. and he was taken into custody. Bell is charged with murder and is being held at the Wilbarger Co. Jail.
