Is The World Going To End?!

Posted: Updated:

As the sun slowly sank through the West Texas sky on December 20th, some were wondering if it could be their last sunset. The long count Mayan calendar expires on December 21st and while the ancient civilization didn't predict the end of the world, the end of their long-running calendar has many people wondering what will happen next.

One Texoman we spoke with said, "I think the worlds definitely going to end tomorrow and I think it will happen at midnight tonight." She even has plans for her last few hours on Earth, "Just chill out and watch, I have a great front row seat for the end of the world."

But not everyone is so sure of their impending doom. Another resident we spoke with said, "I hadn't thought about it until you just asked." His friend added, "I don't think so, but you never know."

Rodney Miller said the end of the world would take an act of God. He said, "They don't know what they're talking about because the Bible says no man knows but the father so I don't think they're the father, matter of fact I know they not."

Others say if the end comes, natural disasters will be to blame. One resident said, "It probably happens like either a tidal wave or an asteroid."
