Rollover Accident Slows Down Rt. 79

A rollover accident in Wichita Falls made travel difficult along Route 79 and Rathgeber Road around 7:45 Monday evening.

Police say a witness told them a blue pickup truck ran a stop sign while traveling West on Rathgeber. The vehicle hit another car traveling North on Route 79 and rolled into the shoulder.

Police and fire fighters responded to the scene but no one was transported by AMR. One person was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle to get checked out.

The accident did restrict traffic, as Police directed traffic by one lane at a time through the wreck.
