VOTE for the Texoma HS Football Play of the Year!

Newschannel 6 brought you all the big plays of another great season of Texoma high school football in 2012, and now we want to know, what was the BEST play of the year?

We nominated the 6 best plays of the season, now we want you to tell us which one was the best!

Here are the nominees:

Fleeks's Leap

Rider's Carlos Fleeks hurdles Wolfforth Frenship defender on his way to 131 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders' 33-7 State Quarterfinal victory at Memorial Stadium!

Big-Man Score

Notre Dame's Hunter Quintero catches the pass from QB Danny Otto, breaks a tackle, runs over another defender and right past a third on his way to a 45-yard touchdown in the Knights' 58-8 regional playoff victory over Rockwall-Heath Fulton in Mineral Wells.

Hangtime

Holliday's Jacob Cole skies for the one-handed interception against Hirschi, making up for having just thrown an interception himself, in the Eagles' 26-8 non-district win over the Huskies at Memorial Stadium.

Staying Alive

Crowell's Mitchell Parsley somehow stays alive long enough to throw up a prayer for Lex Bond, who answers it by making the catch, hurdling a defender and getting down to the Throckmorton 6-yard line. Bond would score on the next play, but the eventual State Champions would get the win in our Doctor Pepper Game of the Week.

Jump Ball

Nocona's Tate Fenoglio was known for his legs this season, gaining over 2,000 yards on the ground. But on this play it was a Tim Tebow-style jump pass to Bryce Dingler that got the Indians in the end zone in a 64-0 non-district win at Archer City.

State Title Tip Drill

In the 1A Division II State Championship game, Munday was clinging to a 20-14 lead when L.J. Collier batted a screen pass in the air, recovered it himself for the interception and went 35 yards for the touchdown to put Munday up by double-digits for the first time in the game, which they went on to win 42-14 for the title!

We'll show you all six plays Wednesday (12/26) on Newschannel 6 at 6, then one play per day starting Wednesday night on Newschannel 6 at 10, and you can vote for the winner!

We'll show you all of the plays one more time on New Year's Eve, then announce the big winner on New Year's Day!
