Going Out With a Bang

Posted: Updated:

The New Year is just four days away and many of you might bring in the New Year by lighting up the sky, but popping off those fireworks can be dangerous.

Fireworks Unlimited said because of the burn bans in place and all the dead grasses, they are advising that anyone popping fireworks be very careful.

They will send each customer home with a safety handout.

Fireworks Unlimited said they are being proactive and electing to not sell certain fireworks that could be dangerous in these conditions.

County officials and firework vendors want everyone to follow safety measures.

Remember it is illegal to possess and ignite fireworks in Wichita Falls. You can face a fine up to $500.
