The discovery of a variety of drugs led to a Wichita Falls gang member and teen's arrest.

The Drug Enforcement Division of the District Attorney's Office and the Wichita County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant Thursday at an apartment on the 5500 block of Professional Drive.

Investigators seized 12 grams of cocaine, 5 ½ grams of meth, and 9 pounds of marijuana, along with assorted drug paraphernalia.

Israel Contreras, Jr., 32 and Bridgette Louis Larque, 18 were arrested from inside the apartment and charged with the first degree felony offenses of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Authorities said Contreras is a known gang member and is on the current VC gang injunction filed by the City of Wichita Falls and the District Attorney's Office.

Law officials are for other suspects and additional charges are expected to be filed.

"These arrests show that the Drug Enforcement Division of the District Attorney's Office is actively working to interdict the flow of illegal drugs in our community," Maureen Shelton, District Attorney, said. "I appreciate the help of the Wichita County Sheriff's Office in making these arrests.  Teamwork from all of the local law enforcement agencies is helping make our community safer."
