Holliday seniors Kelci Bedingfield and Kristen Anderson both signed Monday morning to play college volleyball at Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas.
The 5'8" Bedingfield switched to Libero during the season, finding her place there and averaging 24 digs per game on her way to District 8-2A MVP Libero honors.
The 5'10" Anderson averaged eight kills and four blocks per match as an opposite hitter.
Each was a three-year varsity player, and each earned both Academic All-District and Academic All-State this season.
The two players said they were excited to continue playing together at the next level.
"It gives me a lot of comfort knowing that she'll be there," Bedingfield said. "I'll always have her and always be there for her. Just bring a little bit of home with me there."
"It'll be good, with Kelci there because I already know how she plays," agreed Anderson. "It's just good to know that you already have a friend up there."
Fellow Lady Eagle senior Sarah Garfield has already signed to stay home and play at Midwestern State, and Morgan Lewis has committed to play at Tyler Junior College. She is expected to sign in the next few weeks.
