HOUSTON (AP) - Houston Police have canceled an Amber Alert after finding a missing 2-year-old alive and arresting a family friend accused of abducting the child.
Houston police found Alizae Rene Mata late Thursday at an apartment complex with 22-year-old Jessenia Saldana. Houston police arrested Saldana at the scene. She now faces a kidnapping charge.
Alizae and Saldana went missing on Wednesday when they left to run errands. Police issued an Amber Alert the next day after Saldana allegedly missed a planned meeting with Alizae's mother.
