Munday's Corcoran To Coach In Oil Bowl

Fresh off a state championship, Munday head football coach Pat Corcoran will coach for West Texas in the 76th Oil Bowl this summer.

Corcoran was named as an assistant, for what will be a little different Oil Bowl. Instead of Texas vs. Oklahoma, it will be West Texas versus East Texas, with I-35 serving as the main dividing line.

The reason for the change, a "misunderstanding" about which charity would receive the profits from last year's game. Oil Bowl chairman Gary Hill says both sides are working towards returning to a T-O format for next season.
