Duncan Company Lays Off 130 Workers

DUNCAN, Okla. (AP) - Halliburton Co. Said it is laying off 130 workers at its plant in Duncan.

The Houston-based energy services company officials said the layoffs began Sunday and include manufacturing and support employees.

Halliburton spokeswoman Tara Mullee-Agard told the newspaper that the company must "adjust" its manufacturing levels to meet what is expected to be needed this year. She said that includes the layoff of the 130 workers.

The Duncan plant has about 2,600 employees.
