General Election Candidate Filing Begins

People can now file to be a candidate in the May 11, 2013 elections.

Positions to be voted on are:

  • City Councilor for District 1, 2
  • City Councilor at large

Packets will be available January 21, 2013 in the Office of the City Clerk, 1300 7th Street, Room 104, Wichita Falls, TX.

Candidate Filing Information

Filing Dates:
January 30, 2013 to March 1, 2013
(City Clerk's Office is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.)

Filing Fee:
$100 or petition signed by 50 or more qualified voters in the City of Wichita Falls and applicable district. (City Charter, Section 11).

City Charter, Sections 9-11
