A fugitive wanted on indecency with a child was captured by deputies on
Thursday.
Norman Lee Olson II was captured by the Wichita County Sheriff's Office
according to Clay County Sheriff Kenny Lemons.
Olson was wanted on a felony warrant from indecency with a child and had
bond set at $150,000.
Although Olson was spotted on occasion, he managed to elude authorities
since last January. He was once seen at
the Flying J Truck Stop in Wichita Falls attempting to use an ATM.
According to Lemons, Wichita Falls Police received a complaint about a "hobo"
camping in the area and county deputies were sent to check. Authorities captured Olsen without incident.
Lemons said, "We were glad to get him.
We had been looking for him for a long time."
The sheriff said that Olson had been spotted in several locations
around Wichita Falls, but apparently he was camping in the field last night.
An arrest affidavit reveals that Olson was accused of beginning inappropriate
contact with a mentally challenged 13 year-old in October 2011. He was luring her with cookies and
candy. When she was interviewed, the
victim revealed that the incidents continued until January 2013.
