Scheduled Water Outage Along Seymour Highway

Posted: Updated:

WICHITA FALLS - Residents along Seymour Highway could temporarily lose water on Wednesday as the City shuts down a waterline for maintenance.

The City's Public Utilities Department has scheduled maintenance for several large valves in the water distribution system on Seymour Highway between Loop 11 and Fillmore beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, February 6th. The work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. the next day.

The contractor performing the maintenance will have to shut down the waterline in this area, at times, during the repairs. Businesses and residents located on Seymour Highway, between Loop 11 and Fillmore will experience a temporary disruption of their water supply.

In preparation for this project residents in this area may want to set aside some water for cooking or drinking. The city appreciates your continued understanding and patience as we work to maintain the water system for the community.

For more information please contact the Public Information Office at 761-7401, or the Water Distribution Division at 761-4333.
