SWAT Situation at Sun Valley Apartments Ends Peacefully

SWAT and Wichita Falls Police were able to get a man, who barricaded himself inside Sun Valley Apartments, to come out peacefully. Police arrested Anthony Charles Hoyer, 19, for a Murder Warrant out of Fort Worth.

Hoyer barricaded himself inside an apartment at the Sun Valley Apartment complex, 1300 block of Central Freeway East, around 6 p.m. Thursday. Police believed he was in the apartment with a 19-year-old woman and infant.

Portions of the apartment complex were evacuated during the SWAT standoff. Negotiators were able to talk Hoyer out of the apartment within about half an hour without incident. No one was injured.
