Wichita Falls police have found and arrested a second suspect accused of attacking and robbing a man outside his house.
Police arrested 18-year-old Jonathan Booker just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after a standoff at Washington Village Apartments on Redwood Ave.
Officers were sent to the 4700 block of Tammy Drive on December 18, around 9:30 p.m. for a disturbance call. The 911 caller said two men were assaulting a resident in the front yard. Gunfire was also reported.
The victim had several facial injuries and couldn't maintain his balance. He told police that he was home alone when he heard a knock on his door. A female identified as Kayla Marie Ward, 17, was standing on the porch. When the victim opened the door, the two male suspects armed with a shotgun and handgun attacked him.
The suspects demanded money and struck the victim several times with the butt of the shotgun. He was shot at when he tried to fight back. He gave up his wallet and the suspects left the scene.
An anonymous tip identified the three suspects as Ward, Davontay Johnson, 18, and Booker. Ward confessed she was recruited by the two men to help with the robbery. She said they told her to drive them to the victim's residence, knocked on his door, and drive them away.
She is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held at the Wichita Co. Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Wichita Falls police are asking for information on the whereabouts of Johnson. He has a warrant out for his arrest and should be considered Armed and Dangerous.
