Traffic Stop Leads Police To Stolen Items

A traffic stop led to a discovery of stolen items, landing four people behind bars.

Wichita Falls police made a traffic stop Tuesday around 9 a.m. at Central Fwy and Jacksboro Hwy. The vehicle matched the description of a suspected vehicle used in a burglary the day before on the 1700 block of 9th St.

The traffic stop led officers to a room in the Wayfarer Inn on Central Fwy. There they found the items reported stolen.

Four people were arrested in the investigation:

  • Christohpher Beamon, 42
  • Melissa Burnett, 30
  • Marcia Dunn, 57
  • Jimmie Jones, 39

All four are charged with engaging in criminal activity/theft over $1,500.
