Two People Killed, Girl Hospitalized In Kell Freeway Accident

A 12-year-old girl is hospitalized from a major vehicle accident on Kell Freeway that killed both drivers.

Wichita Falls Police Sergeant John Spragins said the accident happened Thursday around 9 p.m. Robert Eugene Kelley, 40 of Waurika was driving the wrong way on the eastbound lane on Kell Fwy.
His Isuzu Rodeo crashed head-on into a Honda carrying Catherine Davis, 40 of Wichita Falls and a 12-year-old girl.

The Justice of the Peace pronounced both drivers dead at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

The girl passenger was taken to sent to Cooks Medical Center in Dallas. Her condition is not known.

There is no word on whether alcohol or an illegal substance was involved. The bodies have been sent to the Tarrant Co. Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.
