A Wichita Falls man accused of dragging an officer while evading arrest was sentenced to 6 years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice Friday in 30th district court.

Police said they had gone to the Studio E nightclub on Sheppard Access Rd. in February 2012 for a disturbance. Officers saw Louis Edward Green, driving through the parking lot.

An officer approached the vehicle on foot and stopped Green. Police ordered Green not to move, but they said he sped off with the officer's arm in the window, forcing the officer to run along side the car. The officer was able to get his arm free.

Green turned himself in less than two weeks later. He was charged with aggravated assault of a police officer and evading arrest with a vehicle.
