Each year, Zavala awards $500.00 scholarships to high school seniors and others who are continuing their education.
Go to www.zavalawf.com to find the applications. The deadline is March 16. Although Zavala is a Hispanic organization, the scholarships are open to all races.
Part of the application process includes an essay. If any students feel they need help in this area, there will be an essay workshop on March 5 at the Wichita Falls Public Library from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
You can also sponsor a scholarship ranging from $250 up to $2,000 or donate an item, service, or product to our silent auction that will be held during the 8th Annual Leadership Banquet on April 6.
Tickets for the banquet will be on sale for $30 each. The money is tax deductible and includes dinner, entertainment and a dance.
