The Elks Lodge will host the Texoma Area Friends, Family and You (TAFFY) bike run, dinner, dance and live and silent auction to raise money for children with medical needs on Saturday. It will be at the Elks Lodge, 4205 Seymour Highway.
Cook Children's Hospital benefit began in 1999 with 100 guests, raising $3500 which was donated to Cook Children's Medical Center General Fund to help children with ancillary needs that supported the child and family during extended medical stays. In 2006, the name changed to TAFFY and the money became "earmarked" for children residing within an 80 mile radius of the Elks Lodge #1105.
Each year, TAFFY assisted more than 100 families and expanded to assist our families at United Regional Health Care System. The social services departments at both facilities will assist the family to access all resources available and often times that will be this account.
The bike run is $15 per rider or $20 per couple (dinner included). Register at 2 p.m. First bike out at 3 p.m., last bike in at 5 p.m.
Dinner, Dance, Auctions $10 per person or Reserve a table of 8 for $75. El Grande Mexican Buffet served at 6 p.m.

The 47th annual Coin and Stamp Show in Wichita Falls will be Friday and Saturday at the MPEC, 5th and Burnett. Show hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
