Fire Destroys House In Holliday

Posted: Updated:

An investigation is underway for a fire that destroyed a home in Holliday early Tuesday morning. It started just after 12 a.m. in the 300 block of Olive Street.

Newschannel 6 spoke with Holliday's Fire Chief Kevin Kidd. He said it took fire crews from Holliday, Lakeside and Bowman about an hour and a half to get the blaze under control. Fire Chief Kidd said strong winds made containing the fire very difficult.

At this time, they do not know what caused the fire. No injuries were reported but the house is a complete loss. The Red Cross is helping the man who lived there.
